Politicians and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials should resolve whatever disputes that have arisen between them, SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa said yesterday.
“SLC and the politicians should resolve their disputes for the sake of sports and for the betterment of the players. It is Sri Lanka’s cricket which is going to be affected as a result of disputes,” Mr. Rajapaska said.
Namal Rajapaksa, who was one time Minister of Sports, said he managed to resolve whatever issues that arose between sports bodies and politicians.
“Politicians should not use sports to resolve disputes among them,” he noted.
While highlighting that Rugby had also suffered the same fate as cricket , he added this should not be the case continuously.
