Chairman of the Central Environment Authority (CEA) Supun S. Pathirage is among three persons arrested for soliciting a Rs. 10 million bribe.
Bribery Commission officials arrested the trio for attempting to obtain the money from a businessman.
The CEA chief was taken into custody at his office.
Two others including a former member of Sabaragamuwa provincial council were arrested at a supermarket in Battaramulla.
