The country is without a chief for the police which is in total disorder today since the Constitutional Council has not approved a service extension for him, said MP Wimal Weerawansa.
Speaking in parliament today (08), he asked the government not to play around with law and order.
While posing a question to public security minister Tiran Alles, the MP said the DIGs are today saluting an unlawful IGP.
Premier Dinesh Gunawardena said the speaker, as the chairman of the CC, would make a statement with regard to the matter.
