The SLPP will support incumbent Ranil Wickremesinghe up to the 2024 presidential election only, said party MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena.
Voters will then decide who should govern the country, he said at a media briefing today (26).
Abeygunawardena thanked the president for controlling, with the SLPP support, the lawlessness that had prevailed.
The party will keep a watch if the next budget would bring any relief for the people, he added.
