A veteran leftist and teacher activist in Kalutara, P.S.P. Jayatilake, has passed away.
A leading member of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, he had lost his job during the 1980 strike.
He was the father of former MP Malith Jayatilake and had been living at Ramukkana in Bandaragama.
The funeral takes place on 27 October at the Bandaragama Cemetery.
