Sri Lanka should do away with age-old ideas and form her own multinational companies, said United Republican Party leader Patali Champika Ranawaka.
He noted that our home remedy 'Kottamalli' (coriander) has already become a brand named ‘Samahan’ supported even by international icons such as Amitabh Bachchan and Naomi Campbell.
We should be free of the thinking that multinational companies are commercial exploiters, he told a party meeting at Malimbada in Akuressa.
Ranawaka said the country needed to grab its piece from the expanding world economy, for which new world ideas should be entertained on how to earn more dollars.
