Veteran actor Jackson Anthony has passed away, 14 months after he was seriously injured when his vehicle collided with a wild elephant.
He underwent emergency surgery and had since been receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital, until his death at age 65 in the early hours of this morning (09).
He had been returning after a screening in Anuradhapura when his Cab collided with an elephant at Thalawa.
Anthony had been widely acclaimed as an actor, singer, writer, television and radio presenter and songwriter.
