The Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna (SJB) and other alliance members are to come up with a joint proposal for the budget 2024, SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa said over the weekend.
“One of the suggestions that is to be made is the extension of Samurdhi for another year. We are coming up with this suggestion as there have been certain issues with the quick implementation of Aswesuma,” Mr. Rajapaksa said.
“We are also focusing on ways and means to improve the rural economy so that it could make a greater contribution to the national economy,” he added.
