President Ranil Wickremesinghe is set to address the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) which will be held in New York from 18 to 26 of September.

His scheduled address is on 21 September.

The UNGA will bring together global leaders to address the multifaceted global challenges and seek ways to advance progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

President Wickremesinghe is also set to participate in the Group of 77 summit in Havana, Cuba on 15 and 16 of September.

Thereafter, he will head to New York for the UN General Assembly.
