Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa has promised to form a populist government, for which party branches began to be set up at every Grama Officer division yesterday (02).
He thanked all those who worked to strengthen the party’s reorganizing efforts by holding Bala Mandala meetings.
Claiming the SLPP to have roots in the villages, Rajapaksa said it would create rural leaderships to take dividends of government action to every community.
The party will take its policies to the people by contesting any election, he added.
