Colombo district leader of the United National Party (UNP) Ravi Karunanayake has extended an open invitation to everyone in the SJB to return to their home party in order to rebuild the country.
Forget past rivalries, return and support the new journey to create a new country, he asked them during ‘Ilakkaya’ programme of Sirasa TV.
Karunanayake alleged there had been a big conspiracy to divide the UNP, and said a former president was behind it.

All parties should unite and assist the attempt by president Ranil Wickremesinghe to build the country, he said.
The country is faced with a serious national crisis of socioeconomic and political nature, from which revival is possible through unity by all under a new approach with a common national policy, he said.
Karunanayake explained the country’s problems and the future path in politics.
