MP Patali Champika Ranawaka has raised serious concerns over a national issue of justice when business class racketeers act above parliament and the finance ministry.
He told the House yesterday (23) these racketeers continue to have a free reign after swindling Rs. 16 billion two years ago.
“If no action can be taken about that, if that business class functions above parliament and the finance ministry, that is a serious concern for justice in the country,” he said.
Ranawaka said he would continue to raise this issue.
He also referred to frauds surrounding rice, wheat, sugar, cement and other building material.
