President Ranil Wickremesinghe has stressed the need for inclusive discussions on the 13th constitutional amendment.
He emphasized that the matter affecting the entire country should be addressed with the participation of all political parties, not just limited to Tamil party MPs.
The president was speaking at the commencement of the all-party conference called to discuss the national reconciliation programme yesterday (26).
Chaired by president Wickremesinghe, it got underway at the Presidential Secretariat.
It was held with the primary aim of apprising party leaders representing parliament about both the national reconciliation programme, and the North and East development plan.
