An all-party conference to discuss national reconciliation takes place at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo today (26), starting at 3.30 pm.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe chairs the meeting that will be attended by all parties, excepting the National People's Power (NPP).
At the discussion, other parties will be consulted about the issues that will be raised by Tamil parties.
NPP executive committee member Sunil Handunnetti said his party would boycott the meeting.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premadasa said his party would attend the talks in consideration of the people.
He however warned the SJB would leave the discussion if it is found to be a political gimmick and nothing fruitful comes out of it for the country.
