Water tariffs will go up next month as consumers are presently supplied at a loss of five cents per litre, said state minister Sanath Nishantha.
The production cost is seven cents per litre, but sold at two cents, he said.
A new pricing formula will be introduced to charge more from those who consume a high amount of water, said the state minister.
