A wealthy businessman has been arrested on a charge of having sexually-abused a young female who works under him at a star-class hotel in Colombo.
The man from Kadawatha runs an institution that sends youths to Europe for higher studies.
He had told the girl to attend an official discussion at the hotel on a particular date.
When she arrived at a hall of the hotel he had booked, the man had closed the door and performed a sexual act on her.
The girl has lodged a complaint with the police, which investigated and arrested the accused and sent her for a medical examination.
The man has told the police that he had done it with the girl’s consent.
