NGOs welcome Jana Sabha concept

Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) have welcomed the Jana Sabha (People’s Council) concept and assured their support towards its implementation.

The Jathika Jana Sabha Secretariat, together with the National Secretariat for Non Governmental Organizations, recently held a related awareness event for nearly 100 NGOs operating in the country.

Present on the occasion were Sanjeewa Wimalagunaratne, director general of the NGOs National Secretariat, Ravindra Hewawitharana, secretary of the Jathika Jana Sabha Secretariat, its director general Palitha Lihiniyakumara and its directors.
