There is a call for the holding of a referendum on the proposed amendments to labour laws.
A request in this connection was placed before a meeting between the labour minister and trade unions representative of the National Labour Advisory Council yesterday (26).
TUs said they would ask the minister to publicize the draft and also to establish an independent commission to seek public views and suggestions.
