Social activist Piyath Nikeshala has been taken into custody by the CID over his live streaming of the arson attack on president Ranil Wickremesinghe’s private residence nearly a year ago.
Nikeshala was summoned to the CID yesterday (26) to record a statement, after which he was arrested.
He was arrested previously over an incident in which he was assaulted by former deputy mayor of Kaduwela Chandika Abeyratne in May.
