Former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa and his wife departed this morning (24) on board a Singapore Airlines flight on a religious tour of two countries.
They are expected to visit Cambodia and Laos to attend several Buddhist functions.
Ending an 18-day long tour, the two are due to return on July 10.
Following his ouster from office, the ex-president devoted his life mostly to religion, and marked his birthday recently with a Bodhi Pooja.
