The courts or the chief justice, not Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, has the powers to enforce the law with regard to the Easter Sunday terror attacks, said former president Maithripala Sirisena.
He was speaking to the media after paying homage at Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy today (19).
Sirisena said he would respect the verdict given by the courts in which he has been ordered to pay compensation to the victims of the bombings in 2019.
