After the MAS employee’s hateful video went viral, the IMF seems to have gotten highly agitated by this serious threat coming from none other than the son of the secretary of the NPP itself, who some claim to be the next leader of JVP in the making.
A special team of IMF officials was seen rushing to the JVP headquarters immediately after this sensational video.
There, they met Mr Sunil Handunnetti, the country’s next definitive Finance Minister under the JVP regime.
Mr Handunnetti, in a recent video, explained how to easily manage the International “Swearing” Bonds (Not to be confused with International Sovereign Bonds).
The dangerous statement made by MAS Holdings employee and NPP Executive Council member, Mr Chathuranga Abeysinghe, has caused quite a commotion among the corporate and diplomatic echelons, not just in Sri Lanka but abroad as well. In his self-recorded video, he threatens to “hang” the Lankan business leaders who held leadership positions in the state assets which had made losses.
We highlighted with proof that SLINTEC, which is a state asset, has been making YoY losses under the chairmanship of Deshamanya Mahesh Amalean, and the cost is borne by the taxpayer.
Since then, the NPP and MAS Holdings have gone to great lengths to hide the story on social media.
In his rather hateful video, the visibly sadistic JVP youth leader accuses the Central Bank Governor, Mr Nandalal Weerasinghe, of being a mere IMF stooge.
He not only vows to stop the ongoing IMF programme but also to destroy the entire “neo-liberal economy” as soon as the NPP assumes power in the coming elections.
We must applaud the bravery of the young radical communist, Mr Chathuranga Abeysinghe, for while working for one of the top capitalist companies in the country and enjoying all its perks, dare to attack the Central Bank, the IMF and threaten to bring down the entire “neo-liberal economy” upon which the mega-industrialists such as the Amaleans suck out the labour of the innocent workers of Sri Lanka along with its natural resources.
We see it as an internal revolution led by the JVP Municipal Council Candidate for Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte.
We eagerly wait for the day that the rich and the elite living in the Kotte Municipality are made to share their wealth and residential space with the proletariat.
All surveys indicate that the JVP leader, Mr Anura Kumara is expected to win the next presidential election with a landslide victory.
