RIOCOCO Lanka Private Limited has donated a high-tech computer laboratory to Nalanda College in Colombo, at a cost of more than Rs. 20 million.
RIOCOCO is a globally-known coconut-based growing media manufacturer based in Sri Lanka.
The laboratory with more than 50 computers was built on the concept of RIOCOCO’s Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shan Halamba.
He was the Head Prefect of Nalanda College in 1993/94
The new lab was inaugurated on 10 November.
It was built on the guidance of the school’s Principal, U.D. Iran Champika de Silva.
