Sri Lanka won gold in the men’s 400 X 4 event at the Asian Athletic Championship in Bangkok, Thailand yesterday (16).
They clocked three minutes and 1.56 seconds ahead of India and Qatar to claim gold and set a new game and Sri Lanka record.
The quartet comprised Aruna Darshana, Rajitha Rajakaruna, Pabasara Niku and Kalinga Kumara.
In the women’s event, Sri Lanka finished with silver.
