With several games of the Lanka Premier League 2022 already taken place in Suriyawewa, many questions have been raised regarding the standard of the third edition of the tournament, says Himashi Karunarathna on 'Sports with Himashi'.

All arrangements were finalized to hold the event in July, but Sri Lanka Cricket decided to postpone it indefinitely.

Subsequently, it started at the year’s end.

"The matches that have been played point to a clear lack of quality, and a notable absence of enthusiasm and interest from a very low crowd in attendance. Facilities for the participating teams and the promotions too, are at a low. All these things considered, it should be said that LPL 2022 has been a low quality product," she added.
