The United Nations has credited a photojournalist from the Wanni by using the pictures taken by him for a special report titled ‘Legacy of enforced disappearances haunts Sri Lanka.’
Launched on 21 May, the report details experiences of Tamil women, who search for their war-missing relatives for 15 years now.
It carries two pictures taken by Kanapathipillai Kumanan to highlight the plight of these people.
He has been reporting about the war-affected people for several years now.
