Addressing a certificate presentation at Wehera stadium in Kurunegala today (19), he said his project provides that much-needed education free of charge.
DP Education IT Campus aims to enhance modern technological knowledge among children and prepare them for the competitive global digital economy.
Perera said that by 2023 it has become the no. one educational programme in the whole of Asia.
Speaking further, Perera said he has so far built 150 education centres and already opened 136 of them.
Each student who has successfully pursued training has gained knowledge worth Rs. two million, he added.
He went onto say that he has given smart classrooms to 675 schools and to 400 out of 800 Pirivenas.
