A majority in the SLPP will take their decision about a presidential candidate after the party decides whether
to go forward together with the leader who saved the country from the economic crisis, or to field another candidate, said party strongman Prasanna Ranatunga.
Once that decision is out, they will choose between the party decision and their personal one, he said.
Ranatunga was speaking to the media after a school textbook distribution in Minuwangoda yesterday (30).
If the country is to be placed first, everybody has the responsibility to support the leader who restored economic stability, he said.
