Continuous delays in SriLankan Airlines flights are hampering the programme to send people for employment in Korea, said subject minister Manusha Nanayakkara.

There was a delay of 12 hours of the flight UL-470 today (21), he said.

The Bureau of Foreign Employment arranged the team of 50, the 800th group to be sent to Korea, for jobs in that country’s fisheries sector.

The team’s flight was delayed on two previous occasions too, on May 23 and June 04.

The delays meant the Korean Human Resources Department refused to accept them.
