The management committee of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is due to meet at 7.00 pm tomorrow (11) to suspend the party membership of Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, sources said.
MPs have urged their leader Sajith Premadasa to take disciplinary action against Senaratne, who has publicly declared that he would accept a ministerial position while staying in the party.
They have accused him of blocking the SJB’s path and luring its members to join the government.
Failure to act against him will soon divide the party, warned the SJB MPs, prominent among them being Mujibur Rahman and S.M. Marikkar.
