Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has been sworn in as the new Minister of Finance, Economic Stability and National Policies.

The Prime Minister took oaths before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the President's House in Colombo this morning (25), President’s Media Division said.

The new Cabinet of Ministers consists of lawmakers from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Sri Lanka Freedom Party as well as a group of independent MPs.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed the following new ministers:

  1. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe - Minister of Finance, Economic Stability and National Policies.
  2. Douglas Devananda - Minister of Fisheries
  3. Bandula Gunawardena - Minister of Transport and Highways, Mass Media
  4. Keheliya Rambukwella - Minister of Health, Water Supply and Drainage
  5. Mahinda Amaraweera - Minister of Agriculture, Wildlife and Wildlife Conservation
  6. Ramesh Pathirana - Minister of Industries and Plantations
  7. Vidura Wickramanayaka - Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs
  8. Ahmed Nasir - Minister of Environment
  9. Roshan Ranasinghe - Minister of Irrigation, Sports and Youth Affairs
  10. Nimal Siripala de Silva - Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation
  11. Dr. Susil Premajayantha - Minister of Education
