UNP leader and former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has called on the government to table the report into the Easter Sunday attack in parliament.

Wickremesinghe made this request while speaking in parliament this week.

The former Premier questioned as to why MPs cannot access the report and be made aware of its contents when lawyers have been given access to it.

He pointed out the public had a right to know the findings of a public-funded commission and called for the full 23-volume report to be tabled in parliament.

He also noted that concealing its contents will only further excavate the current issues surrounding the incident.
