Former president of Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) Rizly Illyas has complained to Cinnamon Gardens police against the sealing of the SLR headquarters building at Torrington.

He has questioned the move, noting that several court cases were pending with regard to the sport’s governing body.

The Sports Ministry should be held accountable if the files relating to these cases get misplaced, Illyas said in his complaint.

The SLR headquarters was sealed on April 12 after the sports minister removed SLR office-bearers and appointed a caretaker committee headed by Chula Dharmadasa.
