The Court of Appeal has issued an interim order against a gazette notification issued by the minister of sports Roshan Ranasinghe in relation to the regulation of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and other sports governing bodies.
The order is effective until the conclusion of the hearing of a related writ petition filed by SLC and several sports associations.
An appellate court bench comprising Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne and A. Marikkar took up the matter yesterday (27).
