Defending champions Jaffna Kings defeated Kandy Falcons by 24 runs under the D/L method in qualifier one of the Lanka Premier League 2022 at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday (21).
Batting first, Kandy Falcons posted 143 for eight.
In bowling, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth was the pick of the bowlers as he took three for 30.
Jaffna Kings were 98 for three in 11 overs when rain interrupted play to give them victory on their superior par score.
