Left-arm pacer and son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar, warmed up for the upcoming domestic season with a nine-wicket haul in the KSCA invitational tournament, bowling Goa to an innings and 189-run victory against the KSCA XI.
The KSCA XI, which consisted largely of Karnataka Under-19 and Under-23 players, had only two senior players - Nikin Jose and Sharath Srinivas in the XI.
Arjun finished with figures of 9/87 from his 26.3 overs.
In the first innings, the Karnataka team were bundled out for just 103, with Arjun picking up 5/41 in 13 overs.
In reply, Goa posted 413, but their opposition fell well short in the end, after managing to put up just 121 on the board.
In the second essay, Arjun, who turns 25 next week, grabbed 4/46 in 13.3 overs.
Overall, he had match figures of 9/87.
In his 13 first-class games, Arjun has picked up 21 wickets at 45.19.
He also has a century and a couple of fifties in his 20 innings in the format so far.
He started off his career with Mumbai before shifting allegiance to Goa ahead of the 2022-23 season.
