The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has neither an intention to ally with, or expectation of support from, former president Sajith Premadasa, says the party’s media spokesman S.M. Marikkar.
In a statement, Marikkar dismissed media reports that Sirisena has joined with the SJB-led Samagi Jana Sandanaya, and claimed they were news fabricated by pro-government propaganda groups enraged by certain defeat.
He requested the people to be vary of media campaigns by the government and presidential candidates striking deals with it against SJB candidate Sajith Premadasa, who has become a challenge to them all.
