SJB presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa is the certain winner at the presidential polls by polling more than 50 per cent of the votes in the first round, said the party’s deputy national organizer S.M. Marikkar.
He was speaking after Premadasa handed in his nominations yesterday (15).
Marikkar said the election would take the shape of a class struggle, ending the period of candidates from the upper class and their servants swindling and cheating public money.
Among the candidates, Namal Rajapaksa represents the class that made the country bankrupt, Ranil Wickremesinghe is from the class that protects thieves and murderers, while Anura Kumara Dissanayake is from the class that speaks only, he said.
The people’s sorrows, pains and labours should be given the due value, added Marikkar.
