Former sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe says he is contesting for presidency in order to save the motherland.
He was addressing a meeting at Sri Lanka Foundation in Colombo yesterday (11), where ex-chief justice Sarath N. Silva launched his proposals for constitutional reforms.
Ranasinghe said he accepted de Silva’s request to run for the position in order to forgo it.
He expressed belief the people would support his mission.
