Wijayamuni Soyza, who was the SJB’s electoral organizer for Katana, has decided to join the UNP.
A former cabinet minister and ex-chief minister of Uva province, he contested the last general election under the SJB and polled 35,879 votes.
According to political sources, he has organized a public rally at Bibile at 10.00 am today (10).
Activists from the UNP, SJB, SLPP and other parties are due to join him on stage.
Also, he is expected to reveal the reasons as to why he has left the SJB.
