The URF will announce its decision with regard to the presidential polls tomorrow (11), said a its leader Patali Champika Ranawaka.
He has told ‘Anidda’ newspaper the party’s central committee and the national council would meet today to take the decision.
It will be decided if the party should field its own candidate, or support a mainstream candidate.
That decision would be made public at the URF’s Bala Mandala meeting in Kesbewa tomorrow.
According to party sources, a majority of its politburo members want the URF to support opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
