Minister Prasanna Ranatunga alleges the SLPP has been sold for money.
He was speaking to journalists following a meeting of SLPP politicians who support president Ranil Wickremesinghe to discuss raising public awareness at district level.
It took place last night (05) at a hotel in Battaramulla, and was also attended by Kanchana Wijesekara, Ramesh Pathirana and Ali Sabry among others.
After the meeting, Ranatunga said the president never attempted to divide the SLPP.
It is not a party to be sold, rented or leased out to the rich, he added.
