The house of a freelance Tamil journalist in Jaffna has been considerably damaged in an arson attack.
Five men in two motorcycles carried out the attack at Pathmeni in Achchuveli around 12.15 am on 13 June.
Thambithurai Pratheepan said his house, motorcycle and a three-wheeler belonging to a brother of his were damaged in the incident.
The attackers have left a leaflet in Tamil which warns the journalist against distorting transexual sentiments.
On a complaint lodged by him, Achchuveli police are investigating the attack.
