The Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) will lead an alliance of leftist and progressive political forces in ‘Aragalaya’ to face future elections, its propaganda secretary Duminda Nagamuwa said.
Talks have already taken place with leftist parties in that regard, he said.
Their main objectives are to represent the ideals of ‘Aragalaya’, to oppose Ranil Wickremesinghe’s programme with the IMF, to fight against Indian interventions and to establish a socialist mechanism, he added.
