The government will have to face dire consequences for attempting to go against the people’s power and annul democracy, warned SJB MP Eran Wickramaratne.
A bigger turmoil could happen if the government tries to play around with the people’s sovereign power, he told the media yesterday (29).
Wickramaratne condemned the suggestion by the UNP general secretary to postpone the parliamentary and presidential polls.
He urged the people to understand the mindset of the leader of a party and his followers who speak against the people.
