A remembrance for all the dead in the 30-year war from both the north and the south will take place in Colombo tomorrow (17).
It starts at 6.00 pm at the Buddha statue at Viharamaha Devi Park.
Politicians, civil society activists and others will light a lamp to remember the dead and also to help toward true reconciliation between the north and the south, said the organizers.
Equal place is given for all the victims as a mark of respect for the dead as well as the living.
