The Kilinochchi campus of the University of Jaffna has been closed down indefinitely since yesterday evening (13). All examinations that were scheduled to be held for the
students of the Kilinochchi campus have also been postponed indefinitely.

The decision to close down the campus had been taken after a brother of a student studying at the campus tested positive for Covid-19. The brother of the student had been working at the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Centre.

Health officials in Kilinochchi say they have decided to temporarily shut down the campus until a PCR test is performed on the brother of a soldier who had contracted Covid-19.
