Ratnapura District Parliamentarian from the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Ranjith de Zoysa passed away this morning while receiving treatment at a hospital in Singapore.
The parliamentarian was 57 years old at the time of demise. Zoysa was suffering from a severe heart attack for the last few weeks and was taken to Singapore for further treatment.
During the Good Governance regime, Zoysa called weekly media briefings to criticize certain actions of the former government and was a proactive member of the SLPP since its inception.
