Vimal Sokkalingam, a well-known Tamil journalist, tragically lost his life in London after being hit by an electric train while out for physical exercise on 02 August.
He was 76.
He had a media career that spanned several international media organizations, starting as an announcer at the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.
Last May, he returned to Sri Lanka and organized a book release in Jaffna.
His funeral is scheduled to be held in London on 05 August.
