The police chief has instructed state intelligence and the CID to fully investigate persons and media that create disharmony among religions.
It follows instructions given by the public security minister to the IGP to find those responsible for giving publicity space in social media for to certain incidents recently.
A senior official at the police headquarters said there have been complaints that several leading media institutions were promoting themselves while reporting in a manner that affects harmony among religions.
